Under the GDPR and DPA, Ashfield District Council, Urban Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottingham. NG17 8DA is a Data Controller for the information it holds about you. The Council will hold the information provided by you for the purpose of the shared Self-Build and Custom-build Register for Ashfield, Mansfield and Newark & Sherwood District Councils. The lawful basis under which the Council uses personal data for this purpose is Legitimate Interest.
The Council will share your data with Mansfield District Council and Newark & Sherwood District Council. It will use and share the data for the purpose of understanding the demand for Self-build and Custom-build housing. Personal details on the register will not be made public, but anonymised data extracted from it may be published (i.e. overall numbers of registered entries for various categories, geographical areas of interest, types of housing sought etc.). We will not pass identifiable information from the Register onto anybody outside the participating Councils without the written consent of the person who registered their details.
Your data will be held for as long as you remain on the Register. Subject to some legal exceptions, you have the right to request a copy of the personal information the Council holds about you; to have any inaccuracies corrected; to have your personal data erased; to place a restriction on our processing of your data; to object to processing; and to request your data to be ported (data portability). The information provided by you may also be used for other functions carried out by the Council in accordance with GDPR and DPA. When filling out this register please read each question carefully to ensure that you fill in each section as accurately as possible.
If you are registering as a group, please collect the following information before completing this register:
- The name of each group member
- The nationality of each group member
- The date of birth of each group member
- The address of each group member
- The household income of each group member (the requirement for this is explained in the register)
